THIRTY-TWO & FABULOUS

THIRTY TWO THINGS - BALLOONS

Just a day after New Year’s Day, I celebrated my 32nd birthday (I know I am lucky, not). As I have entered the 32nd year of my life, I wanted to share thirty-two things I have learned along the way.

THIRTY-TWO THINGS I LEARNED IN THIRTY TWO YEARS

  • Believe in yourself and your potentials and always always trust your instinct.
  • Beauty sleep is the best thing you can offer your skin. Sleep at least 8 hours each night!
  • Money is better spent in an international trip than in a new pair of shoes.
  • Red lipstick can change your entire mood and looks.
  • Jealousy and comparison with others are your happiness thieves. Don’t let them!
  • Clean out your closet at least once a year.
  • Drinking plenty water is good not only for your beauty but your health as well.
  • Invest in a good quality designer trench coat that fits perfectly.
  • My mother is always right.
  • Backup your phone and computer regularly.
  • Always keep a bottle of champagne in your fridge for upcoming unexpected celebrations.
  • Don’t skip dessert. Life is too short!
  • Protect your privacy online. Don’t post the embarrassing photos from last night’s girls night out. Trust me!
  • Have a handful of real friends and not dozens of acquaintances.
  • The love of your life will come when you won’t expect it.
  • Don’t be afraid to wear bright bold colors. Put color in your life, starting from your wardrobe.
  • Read as many books as you can. Books are a window in the world.
  • Fresh flowers brighten your house and improve your mood.
  • Learn how to cook a handful of recipes really well.
  • Leopard print is undoubtedly a neutral.
  • Exercise 30 minutes everyday. A little exercise won’t kill you, but none might.
  • Snail mail is not dead. Sent out Christmas cards, thank you notes they will be greatly appreciated.
  • Smile more, pout less.
  • Stop complaining for the things you don’t have and start appreciating the things you do have.
  • Don’t keep grudges. Forgive, move forward but not forget.
  • Your blog and online presence on social media is your new resume. Write it carefully.
  • Living with your significant other is exciting but requires mutual recessions.
  • Your dreams won’t work unless you do. It’s up to you to push your life in the direction  you wish to be in.
  • Confidence is a game changer.
  • Organization is crucial for a stress free life.
  • Find what you are passionate about and pursuit it.

What life lessons have you learned through the years? I would love to hear them in the comments below!
