PASTA COOKING CHALLENGE: LINGUINI CARBONARA

Right on time for lunch or maybe later for dinner, the first dish of the Pasta Cooking Challenge is served, Linguini Carbonara. It is my favorite pasta dish and even though it isn’t particularly difficult or complex there are many variations. I chose to make Carbonara with linguini, instead of spaghetti after watching Jamie Oliver for years and taking on his advice.  It is a classic Italian pasta dish from Lazio Rome, and its name derives from carbonaro, the…

PASTA COOKING CHALLENGE!!!

Image via Timeless Memory Prints Etsy Shop During the weekend, I took a look back at the Recipes that I have shared on Shoegal Out In The World and I noticed that I have shared mostly baking recipes and nothing savor. This took me actually by surprise because I love cooking even more than baking. So I decided that it is time to change that and give myself a challenge. And more specifically a Pasta Cooking Challenge!   The challenge will be rather simple.…

RECIPE: UPSIDE DOWN APPLE PIE

I have been craving something sweet this weekend and my mother was kind enough to bake her Upside Down Apple Pie and invite me over to catch up on our news.    I haven’t had once this past fall an apple pie and it was a welcomed surprise. I enjoyed it with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and steaming strong coffee. I am ashamed but I had a second piece and got some for the next day.    I…

CHRISTMAS COCOA PARTY…

ORANGE CAKE WITH VANILLA GLAZE

Inspired by the fall colours & Halloween, I baked a few days back an Orange Cake with Vanilla Glaze. I wanted to match the orange cake with the vanilla glaze, so I played around with food colouring and turned it to an orange vanilla glaze. My final touch was chocolate sprinkles from Marks & Spencer Food that I had bought a few months before moving and wanting to use for a while. The end product was delicious and beautiful…

Cinnamon Roll Waffles

This week didn’t start good for me but I decided to turn the cards and restart first thing this morning and what better way to do so other than making myself a delicious breakfast… I wanted something easy with a sweet note, so I decided to try out Cinnamon Roll Waffles, a recipe I found out while browsing through breakfast ideas on Pinterest. I have tasted the first batch and they didn’t fail me. So I am leaving with you with…

My Cooking Inspiration Blogs…

Happy October!!! It’s been a long time since my last post as so many things go on in my life at the moment that I had no time at all to blog and the few spare hours I had during the day, I preferred to spend them with my significant other or old friends and family. However with a little of scheduling, I am back with many posts to come the coming days and weeks, as well as new ideas cooking up…     And while…
